Medicine in Grafton, Massachusetts prior to starting her position as a staff emergency
doctor at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Kenney's professional interests include
internal medicine, particularly nephrology, and critical care.
When she is not working, she is spending time remodeling her home in northern Rhode
Island and also enjoys other outdoor activities such as snowskiing and hiking. She is
also kept busy with a house full of animals - two cats, two dogs and a fishtank. She was
recently married to a “native Rhode Islander” and will soon be known as Dr. Bushnell
Shannon Cutts, DVM
Emergency Medicine
Dr. Cutts graduated from Tufts Veterinary School in 1997. From there, she traveled all
the way to NYC to do an internship at The Animal Medical Center. Not being much of
a city person, she spent the next month backpacking before moving to Colorado to
spend 5 years working at an after-hours ER clinic. Upon meeting her future husband,
they decided that while the mountains were lovely, there just wasn't enough water so
they decided that going back to her home state was a priority.
Dr. Cutts has been working at OSVS since February 2004. The interaction between
the staff as well as the challenges of a plethora of cases makes this a thriving
practice and a challenging position.
When not at work she enjoys spending time with family, swimming, gardening,
kayaking, jogging, biking, while also trying to keep track of chicken, sheep, a
goat, cats, dogs, quail and recently a duck!
