The surgeons at OSVS are board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Board certification requires advanced training after veterinary school including a 1 year internship, a 3 year
residency, authoring of a peer-reviewed journal article and successful completion of an intensive 3 day
examination. Through continuing education and professional affiliations, our surgeons keep abreast of
the latest advances in surgical procedures and perioperative care. We are continuously upgrading our
equipment and facilities to provide state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment care for your pet.
The hospital has two surgery suites. Each suite is equipped with monitoring equipment including pulse
oximetry, EKG, blood pressure and end-tidal CO2 monitoring to ensure that the patient receives the
safest possible anesthesia and moment-to-moment detection of any complications.
